Part 1: Rice Farming Experience and Lao Lunch

Begin your full-day journey with hands-on rice farming at the Kuang Si Heritage Rice Farm. Select seeds, help sow or transplant seedlings, learn an indigenous salt trick for choosing healthy grains, plow a paddy behind a water buffalo, and practice transplanting or harvesting under the guidance of local farmers.

After threshing and winnowing, enjoy a farm-to-table lunch served in an authentic Lao house. Taste sticky rice you helped prepare, hear stories of water sharing and seasonal life, and experience hospitality that returns value directly to the community.

Return by minivan and transfer to your hotel. Arriving in Luang Prabang about 5:30 PM.

As a complimentary option, you may join a sunset boat cruise from Kuang Si to Luang Prabang. The boat is scheduled to arrive in Luang Prabang at 6:30 PM. (Please note that this is a shared boat with other tourists; for private boat arrangements, please contact us via email.)
