1 Day Nam Ou River Cruise Nong Khiaw to Muang Ngoiy. Classic Tour & Hike to Ban Na + Houy Bor Tai dam tribe (NK014)

Pick up from your hotel at 8:30am. Boat ride up the Nam Ou River to Muang Goy. The boat ride takes about 90 minutes, and you will enjoy the beautiful scenery. Your English-speaking guide will show you around Muang Ngoi. Then we will walk along the local road to Thamkang History Cave. This is a memorable place where locals escaped from bombings during the Secret and Indochina Wars. Hear interesting stories about the history from your guide. Afterwards, take a 30-40 minute break to swim in a natural spring.

Continue walking past green jungle, cultivated rice fields, and buffalo pastures until you reach Ban Na around noon. You can have lunch here or walk further to Ban Huay Bor and have lunch there. After lunch, enjoy the view from this village and return to Muang Ngoi around 3:00 pm to enjoy the beautiful sunset and take a boat cruise back to Nong Khiau.
