Trek & Tad Sae Waterfall (F15)

Your tour experience begins with a transportation service pick up from your accommodation between 8:30 am – 9:00 am, we head off our way south to Ban Long Or. Cross the Nam Khan River by boat to the opposite village Ban Suan Dala. This village has all three ethnic groups: the Lao Loum, Khmu, and Hmong. The history and lives of each of these groups are rich and remarkably different from each other and from your own. You will have an opportunity to explore these local cultures there.

This tour offers two options after leaving the village. One is the normal route with a visit to the village of the Khmu people along the way for a picnic lunch, then resume the trek in the afternoon and head to the waterfall. The other course heads directly to Tad Sae Waterfalls after leaving the village and uses the waterfall’s restaurant for lunch. (This shorter option is a little cheaper because it does not include the cost of lunch.)

Both offer an easy trekking experience that allows you to enjoy the Lao countryside, including rice fields, fields, and forests, and you will be accompanied by a guide who is a local and well versed in the nature and culture of the area.

The time spent at the waterfalls is about 2-3 hours in each case. There is a main area with a park-like trail and a more natural area in the back, both of which are open for bathing. During the rainy season, the Tad Sae Waterfalls are more beautiful than the Kuang Si Waterfalls, which have too much water.

After the waterfall, we will return to Luang Prabang. The tour will end at 4:00-5:00 pm for the regular option and after 3:00 pm for the shortened trekking option.
