Half Day Kuang Si Waterfalls & Hmong village (H04)
Half-day joint or private tour to Kuang Si Waterfall (2-hour stay) and nearby Hmong village. Includes tour guide and hotel pick-up, entrance fees. Relax and enjoy the magnificent natural surroundings of Kuang Si Waterfalls. The water tumbles down and cascades gently into several cool, clear pools where you can enjoy a refreshing swim. Adventurous can walk up the steep path to the top of the falls for a spectacular view. Kuang Si Waterfalls also is a place where a rescue center for protecting sun bears, the endangered species, is located.
Pickup at 8:30 from your accommodation, we depart from the city and drive about 45 minutes (30km) to get to the waterfalls. Typically stay 2 hours in the waterfalls and then return to the city center. On the way back, we stop at a Hmong resettlement village. Visit a small museum built by the villagers, get a glimpse of the lives and traditions of the people who originally lived in the highlands, and support the local people.
- Park The falls are in a nature park. You will see large tropical trees and flowers you will probably never see in your country.
- Swimming Dressing rooms are available. Shower and locker unavailable. Please take care of your valuables.
- Trail You can climb to the top of the waterfall to see the source of the waterfall. Left is the easy way. Right is the hard way. Be careful during the rainy season, as it can be slippery and sometimes completely flooded/inaccessible after heavy rain. Decent footwear is recommended. Please be sure to time your ascent accordingly.

Kuang Si Butterfly Park
Situated 300m before the entry of Kuang Si Waterfall. Kuang Si Butterfly Park is a project that was initiated in January 2014 from 2 Dutch passionate people from Holland. The mission is to create a research centre studying and publishing about Laos butterflies, host plants and preservation because of environmental issues in Laos. (Tickets: 5 USD or 10 USD including apple pie and coffee. Charity tour special: 25 USD)
Laos Buffalo Dairy
Here is the very first social enterprise in Laos producing cheese, ice cream, cakes, yoghurt and milk shakes made out of buffalo milk. Optional 40 or 50 minute farm tour (Please select the number of people in the options on the payment screen. We will book mini tours for you)
