Upon your arrival in Luang Prabang, your private local guide will welcome you in the airport then escort you to your hotel to check in. Rest of the day at your leisure to relax and explore the city.

Today your tour begins early in the morning (around 6 am). We pick you up from your hotel and you have a fantastic opportunity together with the locals to witness the captivating centuries old daily tradition of the alms giving ceremony. Following that, we will visit the local morning market.

The morning market lining a couple of quiet streets near the Royal Palace, starts early and is over by mid-morning. It sets up along a couple of side-streets next to one of the city’s many Wats. A butcher and some of the more touristy stalls have actual tables for their wares. But most of the vendors, selling anything from rice, to fresh vegetables, to steamed fish, frogs, and anything else that might be the day’s catch, just set up on the ground procession.
We will pick you up again at 8:30 and take you to a small park on the peninsula tip. The tour begins with a brief introduction to Luang Prabang, standing where the Nam Khan River meets the Mekong River. From there, walk to the famous Wat Xieng Thong temple. For centuries, the temple was considered the ceremonial gateway to the city and was the arrival and departure point for foreign dignitaries. We will walk up the stairs to the main gate and enter the temple like ancient dignitaries. We will then visit Heuan Chan Heritage to see a traditional Luang Prabang house and take a rest in the garden. After seeing the temples near the gardens, head to the quaint Royal Palace Museum for an overview of the culture and history of this ancient city and Wat Visoun known for its enormous stupa and its collection of old gilded Buddhas. Finally, we will climb Phu Si, a small hill in the center of the city with 329 steps overlooking the Mekong River and the city.
Afterwards we will have an excursion to Kuang Si Waterfalls. We will have lunch at Carpe Diem Restaurant, which is about a 5-minute walk from the park. You will have 2-3 hours of free time in the park. We will spend time exploring the three-layered Kuang Si Waterfall, walk the nature preserve trails, swim in the refreshing turquoise pools of water, and visit the Bear Rescue Center. Our way back into Luang Prabang, we stop at Ban Na Uan, a Hmong village where you have the chance to experience Hmong village life, meet some of the local people and see the makings of their traditional embroidery crafts. We will transfer you to your hotel in Luang Prabang around 5pm.
(Modest clothing covering the shoulders, chest and legs is required during the morning tour to pay homage to the monks and the royal palace)

We will pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 morning. Head north of Luang Prabang to the Nam Ou River. After a brief introduction from the guide, we start kayaking on the Nam Ou River. We enjoy a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside and see nature-built limestone cliffs called Pha Aen on the way. 1-hour kayaking takes us to the first destination at the confluence of the Nam Ou and Mekong Rivers, Pak Ou. We visit the famous Pak Ou Caves – two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by devoted pilgrims. You’ll have time to explore them. Then we’ll continue kayaking, this time down the Mekong river itself. We will paddle down the Mekong for 30 minutes until we end our journey at Manifa Elephant Camp. Shower and change clothes are available at Elephant Camp. Enjoy a buffet lunch at the restaurant with a view of the Mekong River and free-roaming elephants.
After lunch, We spend two hours for elephant rides, interaction and observation. Around 4:00 pm, a sunset cruise on the Mekong River will begin on a private boat. The cruise lasts about 2 hours and you can admire the beautiful sunset on the Mekong River on the way back to Luang Prabang at 6pm

After breakfast, transfer to the railway station to board the train (13:53 or 18:20) to Vang Vieng. Upon arrival at Vang Vieng train station, transfer to hotel for check-in.
We will drive to Khmu Village, 10km north of Vang Vieng. From there we will start to paddle down the Nam Song river 8km. Enjoy the view from your kayak. You will navigate some small but fun rapids and float past beautiful scenery back to Vang Vieng town.
In the afternoon, we rent a motor bike and drive through paddy field areas heading to Tham Phoukham caves and blue lagoon 1, where your breath will be taken away seeing the most beautiful and famous limestone cavern, surrounded by natural forests. Along the way, you have a chance to explore the local cultures by greeting the local villagers and learning about their daily lifestyle. There is a small natural pool in front of the caves where you can take a swim to refresh yourself from the hot climate or you could explore the nearby area. After spending at the caves and its surrounding areas, we make our return to the Vang Vieng town. En route, we visit the ethnic minority villages of Hmong, Souay and Taidam villages meeting the warm and friendly hill tribe people and visit Tham Na Fa cave, this cavern considered a big cave that massive eerily lit up with gel spotlights that filling by the huge limestone formations and has spectacular stalactites in various unique formations, whether in Buddha, kitchen, or animals, and so forth. Walk through the grand hall, along the pavement into a narrow alley and relish the attractiveness of stalactites that was hidden in this cavern

Take the early morning train to Luang Prabang (8:29 – 9:23). Free time to explore the city until your flight, after which you will be transferred to the airport.
