12:30 PM — Buffet lunch at Manifa Elephant Camp
Enjoy a buffet lunch at the camp. Vegetarian options are available.

After lunch — Return to Luang Prabang
A shared minivan will take you back to your hotel. Drop-offs are completed by approximately 2:30 PM.

2. Joint Afternoon Cruise to Pak Ou Caves (H01-2)

12:30–12:50 PM — Hotel pickup
A shared minivan will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Manifa Elephant Camp.

Lunch at Manifa Elephant Camp
Enjoy a buffet lunch at the camp before boarding the boat.

2:30 PM — Mekong River cruise
Cruise upstream to Pak Ou Caves and spend about 30 minutes exploring the cave shrines and Buddha images. On the return journey, take in the limestone cliffs of Pha Aen and other riverside scenery.

Stop at Ban Xang Hai, a village known for its traditional Lao whisky, before continuing downstream toward Luang Prabang. Enjoy the sunset from the river. One beer or soft drink is provided during the cruise.

Around 6:00 PM — Arrival and hotel drop-off
After reaching Luang Prabang, a shared minivan will take you back to your hotel.

3. Private Pak Ou Caves Cruise (H01-P)

With a private tour, you can choose a hotel pickup time between 8:00 AM and 1:30 PM. The order and timing of visits to Ban Xang Hai, Pak Ou Caves, and Manifa Elephant Camp can be adjusted to suit your departure time and preferred finish time.

You can choose a one-way boat cruise or travel by boat in both directions. The itinerary below gives two examples:

Example A: One-way morning cruise

Around 9:00 AM — Hotel pickup
Travel to the pier and board your private boat.

Morning — Cruise to Pak Ou Caves
Visit Ban Xang Hai and Pak Ou Caves, with about 30 minutes at the caves. Continue downstream past Pha Aen’s limestone cliffs to Manifa Elephant Camp.

Lunch at Manifa Elephant Camp
Enjoy lunch at the camp, then return to Luang Prabang by minivan. This option follows a schedule similar to the joint morning cruise.

Example B: Boat cruise both ways

Around 9:00 AM — Hotel pickup
Travel to the pier and begin your private cruise upstream.

Morning and early afternoon — Flexible visits
Visit Ban Xang Hai and Pak Ou Caves, allowing about 30 minutes at the caves. The timing of your stops and lunch at Manifa Elephant Camp can be arranged around your preferred pace.

After lunch, cruise back to Luang Prabang by boat, enjoying the river and limestone scenery along the way. With a morning departure, you will usually arrive back in town at around 3:00 PM.

Your exact schedule will depend on your chosen pickup time, route, and time spent at each stop.
