With a boat reserved exclusively for your party, enjoy a day on the river with your family, friends, or travel companions.

Both options include a buffet lunch at Manifa Elephant Camp and hotel transfers. Choose the Morning Cruise for an earlier return, with the option to travel back by boat or car, or the Afternoon & Sunset Cruise for a later start and an evening journey downstream.

Hotel pickup: 9:00 AM | Return: approximately 2:00 PM by car or 3:00 PM by boat

9:00 AM — Hotel Pickup & Departure

We collect you from your hotel and transfer you by private vehicle to the pier in Luang Prabang. Board your private boat and begin the upstream journey towards Pak Ou Caves.

Donkhoun Island & Ban Xang Hai

Stop at Donkhoun Island, a historic royal resting place with a small temple, for a short walk. Continue to Ban Xang Hai, known as the “Whiskey Village,” to discover the local tradition of making lao-lao, Lao rice spirit.

Pak Ou Caves

Arrive at Pak Ou Caves, where thousands of Buddha images fill a sacred setting overlooking the Mekong. Explore the lower cave and, if you wish, follow the stairs to the upper cave.

Scenery at the Nam Ou–Mekong Confluence

Continue by boat around the meeting point of the two rivers, taking in the dramatic limestone cliffs before heading downstream for lunch.

Buffet Lunch at Manifa Elephant Camp

Take a break at Manifa Elephant Camp and enjoy a buffet lunch beside the Mekong. Vegetarian options are available.

Your Choice of Return Journey

Choose your preferred return when booking:

• Return by private vehicle: Travel directly from the camp to your hotel in Luang Prabang, arriving at approximately 2:00 PM.
• Return by private boat: Spend more time on the Mekong with a relaxed downstream cruise to Luang Prabang, followed by a transfer to your hotel. The tour finishes at approximately 3:00 PM.
